The “Music of the Spheres World Tour” has been on for 3 years now, and the British band continue to display true craftsmanship with their every performance, even beyond the shores of Europe.

Coldplay began their galactic adventure in 2022, headlining a tour that many thought would be a one-year journey, but turned out to be 3 years due to additional dates.

They’ve taken the force of their 8th career tour to 5 continents, covering places that they’ve never been before in these continents. The “Music of the Spheres World Tour” currently holds the title of their longest career tour and their most successful one since they became active in the music industry. They had taken time off the live music scene in 2017 after their “A Head Full of Dreams Tour,” to come back only when they find a way to reduce their carbon footprint.

It appears the years they took off the live scene to properly headline a sustainable tour finally paid off, to say the least, since the “Music of the Spheres World Tour” is considered one of the most sustainable tours the music world has ever seen. They managed to achieve their sustainability plans by working with three principles, which are reduce, reinvent, restore, and by including Coldplayers in the formation.

This act gave Coldplayers more than music to be proud of, and a chance to serve a purpose that adds meaning to their life. Coldplay’s participation in the sustainability plans of Coldplay adds a green feather to their caps, making them ambassadors for a better and healthier earth. This movement left every city that the tour has been to better both environmentally and economically.

One thing worth noting as well is that the “Music of the Spheres World Tour” has since become famous due to many reasons, but the most musical of them all is the setlist of the tour, which is a journey for Coldplayers. It tells more than a story. It creates an identity for everyone on the concert ground – one which enlightens the soul for a moment. The perfect placement of their current album, “Moon Music,” also shows the entire tour was a carefully thought process and not just another music tour.

Their performances of some songs on the setlist as acts also added to the popularity of some of their classics. As a result, some songs are re-making waves online, even though they were released years ago. Since the tour is set to be wrapped up by Coldplay in London, we’ll be looking at 5 songs that their European fans are expecting to hear live within the walls of Wembley and why, as this article progresses. Before then, remember to secure Coldplay tickets now to be on the safe side.

5: “feelslikeimfallinginlove”

The single “feelslikeimfallinginlove” was released in 2024 as the lead single of Coldplay’s latest career album, “Moon Music.” The band used this album to show that they were one step ahead when it comes to creating timeless hits, in the sense that the album perfectly contributed to the acts in the setlist of the “Music of the Spheres World Tour.”

The reason this song is currently topping charts in Europe and the UK is that it came to be their first original work in nearly three years, after the release of “Music of the Spheres” in 2021. Coldplayers welcomed the track the way a friend would welcome a long-lost friend, and this pushed the track up the charts.

As it was the first taste of Coldplay’s 10th career album, it carried the weight of a new era that a lot of people were anticipating for the British band. So, the excitement is not just for its musical freshness, but also for what it represents, which in a real sense is a return to Coldplay’s emotional and spiritual songwriting persona.

4: “We Pray”

“We Pray” is mostly remembered as Coldplay’s most ambitious collaboration so far in the music industry. The “Something Just Like This” singers are interested in creating a community with other musicians just to make sure a real pop and rock music community that is accommodating to everyone exists.

Released in July 2024, “We Pray” merged a continental bridge in the entertainment industry. Coldplay featured so many vocals on this record, including from African artists, such as the Nigerian Afrobeat superstar, Burna Boy.

Since the “Love, Damini” singer is also classified as one of the best from Africa, who has successfully headlined a concert in the UK and Europe, Coldplay fans are eager to see how Coldplay would rock a stage with him. Even though there aren’t any words about him making an appearance in Wembley, Coldplay might consider using a holographic image of him live on stage, like they’ve done before with BTS.

3. “Viva la Vida”

No cap, “Viva la Vida” is one of Coldplay’s most popular hits that’s old but still possesses the hit-making power whenever performed. It became a fan favorite right from when it was released in 2008 through their 4th career album, “Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends.”

The single, alongside the album, reached global success in 2008, but that success saw a fresh wind again after performing it in one of their opening performances at Glastonbury, UK, in 2024. Even though it remains a difficult task to re-chart an old song that’s been released for 16 years, somehow, Coldplay’s performance of “Viva la Vida” made it re-enter the charts again.

Its current performance on charts denotes the anticipation Coldplayers have for it. They’re using former videos of it and streaming it to calm their minds pending the comeback of Coldplay this year. The Wembley Stadium performance promises to be a communal moment since “Viva la Vida” usually transforms any venue it’s been performed in into a cathedral, to say the least. This adds to the anticipation.

2. “Yellow”

“Viva la Vida” would probably hide its face where we discuss “Yellow,” as the oldest Coldplay track that still has value in the present generation. Last we checked, Gen Z are not people that resonate with a lot of the songs from that era; however, they seem to have fallen in love with Coldplay’s “Yellow,” to the extent that it’s performing on charts again after 25 years.

“Yellow” was released through Coldplay’s debut career album, “Parachutes,” and has since become one of the go-to songs for anyone wanting to experience the rawest form of Coldplay. Its anticipation generally lies in the fact that it perfectly captured all of Coldplay’s original story, before fame and all they have now.

Back then, it was a group of boys hoping the global music industry would love them and their craft, so it was full of a hope that may not be felt again in any Coldplay track. The Wembley Stadium is one of the few places on earth that resonates with stories like these, hence why Coldplayers can’t wait to meet Coldplay there.

1. “Paradise”

The single, “Paradise,” remains one of Coldplay’s most-streamed songs since its release in 2011 through their 5th career album, “Mylo Xyloto.” Its popularity has never reduced, and it currently holds a dominant position in the UK fan polls as well as playlists. It is placed at the No. 5 position on the “Music of the Spheres World Tour” setlist, above all the other tracks on this list.

“Paradise” majestic nature builds up the appeal it has in the UK and Europe. It features both sweeping strings and pounding drums, making it an anthem for Coldplayers. Plus, its anthemic hook makes it a perfect song to be performed on big stages like the Wembley Stadium. You may have heard Coldplay perform it elsewhere, but the Wembley experience is bound to be different, as there are no venue limitations.

The anticipation Coldplayers have for “Paradise” can also be attributed to the fact that it isn’t just any song, but a sonic and visual roller coaster. Plus, there’s also the hope that Coldplay would bring along the glowing elephant mascot that usually dances when they perform the song.
