CHOs demand clearance of pending dues, donated blood while protesting

Community health officers donate blood while participating in an agitation at Srikakulam on Thursday.

Srikakulam Community Health Officers Association President M. Usha Rani and working president P. Indumathi urged the government on Thursday to resolve their grievances and clear pending bills immediately, as the CHOs had been facing difficulties with the meagre salaries.

As part of their continuous agitational programmes, the members of the association donated blood at a camp organised by the Indian Red Cross Society.

IRCS Public Relations Officer P. Chaitanya Kumar and representatives K. Satyanarayana and N. Uma Shankar presented certificates to those who donated blood.
