The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced the squad for the five-match Test series against England from June 20.
Shubman Gill was named the Test captain after Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from the format. Rishabh Pant will be his deputy.

Surprisingly, Mohammed Shami was not included in the 19-member team. Arshdeep Singh got his maiden Test call-up while Shardul Thakur returned to the fold. Kuldeep Yadav was the only specialist spinner who was a part of the side.
Karun Nair also earned a comeback into the Test side after seven years.
The five Tests are scheduled to be played at Leeds, Birmingham, Lord’s, Manchester, and The Oval.
