Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the meeting. File

Twenty Chief Ministers and 18 Deputy Chief Ministers of the States ruled by the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will participate in a day-long brainstorming on ‘Good Governance’ on Sunday (May 25, 2025).

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the meeting. BJP president J.P. Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah too will be participating in the deliberations,” read a BJP statement.

Twin resolutions

Being coordinated by the BJP Good Governance Department, the meeting will also pass two resolutions. The first one will be to congratulate the Indian defence forces and the Prime Minister on the success of Operation Sindoor. In another resolution, the NDA CM Conclave will congratulate the Central government on its decision to conduct caste enumeration during the ensuing Census.

“A significant part of the deliberations at this conclave will be devoted to the discussion on best practices by different NDA State governments. The respective CMs will be make presentations on their initiatives.

The meeting will also deliberate on the forthcoming events such as the first anniversary of the NDA government, completion of a decade of International Yoga Day, and the 50th Loktantra Hatya Diwas, which is the 50th anniversary of the imposition of Emergency, said the party.
