The State government has reached out to the family of the three-year-old girl, who was raped and murdered in Mylavaram mandal of Jammalamadugu constituency in Kadapa district recently.
District Collector Sridhar Cherukuri announced a financial support of ₹5 lakh, a house site and a suitable job for the girl’s father.
As the incident sent shock waves all over, the enraged residents of the village razed down the house of the accused in his native Moragudi village on Saturday. They minced no words in stating that the culprit had no right to stay in their village, in view of the heinous nature of the crime.
The accused had lured a girl near a wedding hall in Kambaladinne village, raped her at a deserted place and later killed her on the spot. Referring to the cold-blooded crime, the villagers demanded capital punishment for the accused.
Mr. Sridhar Cherukuri, accompanied by Superintendent of Police E.G. Ashok Kumar, met the victim’s family members and assured them of all support.
