Wimbledon are just about the favourites going into this final where the bookies really can’t split them.
A draw is only just the biggest price which says a lot.
Walsall comfortably beat Chesterfield over the two legs 4-1 in the end while Wimbledon saw off Notts County narrowly each game 1-0 to make it an overall aggregate 2-0 victory.
Walsall finished fourth and Wimbledon finished fifth, both seeing out the season poorly but winning on their final games of the season.
Walsall only missed out on promotion by a point in the end with both sides losing two, drawing two and winning one in their final five games.
But those crucial games in the run-in see them in the play-offs but well equipped to win it.

Wimbledon have a way of winning big games this season and still managed to get into the play-offs with a crucial win in the final game of the season.
That was a must-win and it looks as though they will put in a great performance as they did against Notts County, keeping two clean sheets.
A win for either side is tough to back too making a draw at 19/10 look like value in a game where they could easily cancel each other out after a fairly poor run.
If it does end in a draw, I can see Wimbledon just about eking out victory in either extra time or penalties.
