Seized narcotics and contraband worth ₹1.26 crore were destroyed on Monday (May 26) as part of a large-scale disposal operation by the Excise Department under the Hyderabad division. The haul included cannabis, hashish oil, MDMA, cocaine, and other drug-laced substances seized in 102 cases across nine excise stations.

In total, 171.34 kilograms of cannabis, 21.03 kilograms of cannabis-infused chocolates, 320.6 grams of hashish oil, 51 grams of OG Kush marijuana, 17.66 grams of MDMA, 12 grams of cocaine and other contraband were incinerated. The disposal took place in the presence of enforcement officers.

The procedure was carried out on the orders of Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner K.A.B. Shastri, who acted as the Disposal Officer. The exercise involved senior excise officials, including AES N. Srinivasa Rao and A. Mohan Babu, along with officers from the Ameerpet, Dhoolpet, Golconda, Jubilee Hills, Kacheguda, Malakpet, Musheerabad, Narayanguda, and Secunderabad excise stations.

Officials said the drugs had been collected as evidence in cases over the past several months and were cleared for disposal following legal procedures.
