Everyone has an opinion on the Cleveland Browns’ newest quarterback.
A lot of the discourse surrounding Shedeur Sanders has been fair to a degree, but it has also felt overwhelmingly negative, especially after tumbling all the way to the fifth round.

One prominent sports media figure, and member of the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame, has had enough of the Sanders slander.
LeSean McCoy likened the young quarterback out of Colorado to a former teammate of his.
A former teammate who happens to be the greatest football player of all-time and someone who has hoisted the Lombardi Trophy up seven different times; Tom Brady.
McCoy saw firsthand the preparation and work that Brady put into his craft, while the two were teammates on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers together.
McCoy’s lone season in Tampa was in 2020, when Brady led the team to a victory in Super Bowl LV.
On McCoy’s FS1 show, The Facility, he made the comparison between the two quarterbacks.
“I know a lot of people be saying a lot of different things about Shedeur, but now, I feel like they starting to really understand what’s going on now,” McCoy said.
“That’s because you see what that kid look like at practice.
“You seen his work ethic; everything you heard about him is not true.

“Don’t let the jewelry, and the music, and the swagger fool you.
“He a hard worker. First thing the head coach said, ‘Hey, he’s the first one in the building, he’s the last one to leave.’
“Sounds like someone else I know, his name is Brady.”
McCoy was referring to what head coach Kevin Stefanski said about Sanders during rookie minicamp.
“Shedeur is a great kid,” Stefanski said.
“He’s working like crazy.
“He’s in there early, he’s getting his work done, he’s working really, really hard. I like everything there is about Shedeur.”
Sanders will be given a chance to win the starting quarterback job in a room full of Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel.
Brady too was a late round draft pick once upon a time.
He got an opportunity and never looked back.
Sanders can do the same.
