Lindsay Lohan is leaning into a new chapter of life, one that’s less about red carpets and more about peace, purpose, and parenting.
At 38, the former child star says she’s finally learned to slow down and create space for what really matters: herself, her family, and intentional choices about her career.
“I feel great, I’m really happy, I love what I’m doing,” she told E! News. “When I was younger, everything was just moving so quick.”
After decades in the spotlight, the actress known for films like Mean Girls and Freaky Friday is living life at a more mindful pace. For Lindsay Lohan, work-life balance is no longer just a concept, it’s a rule.
“Now it’s nice that I’m older and wiser, and I know how to take moments for myself to relax,” she added. “I like to give my work my all, but then when I’m with my son, I want to give him my all, or my husband, I want to give him my all.”
She’s clear: every area of her life should complement the other. That includes downtime, too. Her favorite way to unwind? Massage therapy and cuddles.
“I think a massage is nice. The other night I was like, to my husband, ‘We’re getting couple massages, it’s not up for debate, it’s just happening.’”
And when the day winds down, it’s the simplest moments that bring her peace.
“Cuddling with my son before he sleeps, that actually relaxes me a lot, just holding him. I just wanna savour these moments.”
While motherhood and marriage take center stage, Lindsay Lohan hasn’t closed the door on big career dreams. In fact, she has her sights set on the director’s chair.
“Eventually, at some point, I really, really do wanna direct,” she revealed. “It’s definitely something on my bucket list. I’ve grown up on sets and I’ve learned so much from the directors and people that I’ve worked with.”
Still, everything hinges on her family’s needs. Last month, Lindsay made it clear to Entertainment Weekly that she’s not saying yes to just anything.
“Everything I do is [about] what’s going to work for my family. If something works around that, it’s meant to happen. If it doesn’t work around that, it’s a no-go.”
The Lohanaissance may be in full swing, but this time around, it’s on her terms. And for Lindsay Lohan, that means staying grounded, being present, and choosing peace over pressure.
