Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ former assistant has come forward with shocking claims in his ongoing federal sex trafficking trial, accusing him of violent outbursts, including once hurling an ice bucket at her head.
The disturbing testimony, delivered on May 29 in a New York courtroom, has added more fuel to an already explosive case that sees the 55-year-old music mogul facing life in prison.
Using the pseudonym Mia, the woman detailed the alleged abuse she suffered while working for Diddy, painting a dark picture of what she described as a “toxic work environment.” According to Mia, the Bad Boy Records founder didn’t just lash out verbally, he became physically aggressive. She testified, “He’s thrown things at me. He’s thrown me against the wall, into a pool, put an ice bucket on my head, and slammed my arms into a door.” Mia, now in her early 30s, said this treatment wasn’t isolated, it was part of a larger pattern of control and abuse while working under Combs.
Mia also described the chaotic and demeaning way she was introduced to the job. During her initial meeting for the position, arranged by Human Resources, she found Diddy in nothing but his underwear. She claims he only got dressed once she had arrived, setting a bizarre and unprofessional tone right from the start.
Though she began as a personal assistant, Mia says she was later promoted to director of development and acquisitions at Revolt Films, a company co-founded by Combs. But the title didn’t come with much relief. She claimed she was working grueling 24-hour shifts on little to no sleep and was paid just $50,000 a year. “Working long hours on little to no sleep became a norm,” she told the court, underscoring the mental and physical toll the job took on her.
These allegations come as part of a sweeping federal case against Diddy that includes charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and operating a criminal enterprise. The courtroom has heard multiple stories of abuse and coercion, and Mia’s testimony is just one layer of a much larger and darker picture.
The trial took another dramatic turn the day before, when Diddy’s defense attorney, Marc Agnifilo, filed a motion for a mistrial. The defense accused prosecutors of misconduct for suggesting that someone present in court may have been involved in the destruction of fingerprint evidence in a related arson case involving musician Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi. The court heard from arson investigator Lance Jimenez, who revealed that DNA from a Molotov cocktail used to firebomb Kid Cudi’s car in 2011 had been destroyed in 2012 by the LAPD, without his knowledge.
Judge Arun Subramanian denied the mistrial motion but ordered the jury to disregard the DNA evidence, striking related questions from the record. It was a tense moment in a trial already full of bombshells.
Throughout the proceedings, Combs has maintained his innocence. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and insists that any sexual encounters referenced were consensual. His legal team has continued to push back on the mounting testimonies, trying to frame them as part of a media-fueled attack on his legacy.
The trial is expected to continue for at least another six to seven weeks, and with each passing day, more disturbing revelations are emerging. From the violent claims of his former assistant to issues of tampered evidence and chaotic courtroom drama, the case is turning into one of the biggest celebrity legal sagas in years.
