Golden naped finch

While traveling in a moving car, it’s often
difficult to spot many birds—but sometimes,
reaching a destination requires exactly that. On
our way to a specific spot in the Mishmi Hills, we
happened to glimpse a single golden-naped bird
perched quietly on a fence. We stopped at once,
and to our delight, discovered an entire group of
golden-naped foraging nearby. A stroke of pure
luck—what a moment!
