Cunha has agreed to sign a five-year contract with the option for a further 12 months and will take the no.10 shirt at Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford was the last man to have that number, signalling that he will likely make a permanent exit this summer.
His transfer will be officially completed once his visa and registration are finalised when he returns from international duty with Brazil.
“Manchester United has reached agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the signing of Matheus Cunha,” a statement read.
