The first-ever exhibition organised for the Sale of Articles of Rural Artisans Society (SARAS) received a good response from the residents of Parvatipuram, thanks to the extensive publicity given by the Parvatipuram-Manyam district administration.
The exhibition, which began on June 1, is being held at the district headquarters alongside the local festival of deities such as Ippala Polamma, Erra Kanchamma, and Bangaramma Thallibegan and will conclude on June 4.
A total of 60 stalls have been set up by artisans from different parts of the country. Parvatipuram MLA Bonela Vijaya Channdra visited the stalls and thanked Collector A. Shyam Prasad for taking the initiative to hold exhibition— which is typically held in metro cities.
NABARD District Officer D. Dinesh Kumar Reddy, District Rural Development Agency Project Director Sudhara Rani, and other officials coordinated the arrangements for the exhibition.
