Police constable Anwar Basha received words of appreciation from Chittoor Superintendent of Police (SP) V.N. Manikanta Chandolu for returning a gold chain lost by a woman.
Munilakshmi, a woman from Ramapuram village went to the Union Bank in Chittoor town on Monday and while returning lost her 25 grams of gold chain worth ₹2.5 lakh outside the bank. The constable, Anwar Basha, found the chain and immediately reported the matter to the I Town police station. After going through the CCTV footages, the police found out that the woman had lost it accidentally.
Meanwhile, the woman visited the Chittoor I Town police station on Tuesday to lodge a complaint regarding her missing chain and was subsequently handed over her chain.
