James Bond fans have a reason to get excited.
La-La Land Records is dropping the most complete vinyl edition ever of the legendary Goldfinger soundtrack. Coming 1 June, this deluxe reissue brings John Barry’s iconic score back in a way fans have never experienced before, every known cue from the 1964 film now lives on a single LP.
This isn’t just a regular reissue. It’s part of a larger push by La-La Land Records to revive and restore classic Bond scores for both vinyl and CD. Known for their dedication to soundtrack preservation, the label has been building momentum with remastered CD editions of titles like The Man With the Golden Gun and Moonraker, adding unreleased musical cues and improved audio quality.
The Goldfinger vinyl is the first in a planned series of Bond vinyl drops, with new titles landing roughly every three months. CD editions will continue rolling out in between, giving collectors and newcomers alike something fresh to look forward to
.
The Goldfinger release is available in two collector-friendly versions. There are 700 copies of the “Fort Knox Bullion” edition and 300 of the “Body Paint Gold” edition, both priced at $34.98. Each pressing includes liner notes by respected film music expert Jon Burlingame, and the production team includes Neil S. Bulk (producer), Chris Malone (restoration), and Doug Schwartz (mastering). Art design comes courtesy of Jim Titus.
This marks the first time all known audio cues from Goldfinger have been compiled on one vinyl album. It’s a major win for soundtrack collectors, especially since previous Bond soundtracks often varied between U.S. and international releases, with missing cues or inconsistencies.
La-La Land Records, founded in 2002, has a track record of reviving iconic soundtracks, including Star Trek , The Original Series, Planet of the Apes, Lethal Weapon, and Friday the 13th. Their reputation for quality restoration has earned them a loyal fanbase in the film music world.
The timing couldn’t be better. While fans await official news on the next Bond film, interest in the music of 007 has only grown. Next up for the label is a newly remastered CD release of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, dropping later this summer. Following that, Moonraker and The Man With the Golden Gun will get the deluxe double LP treatment.
La-La Land’s Bond soundtrack campaign is clearly more than nostalgia, it’s a deep dive into cinematic music history. For those craving more Bond in their lives, this steady stream of high-quality vinyl and CD reissues might just be the ultimate collector’s mission.
