A prostitution racket operating under the guise of a spa in Hyderabad was busted by the Commissioner’s Task Force (West Zone) in coordination with SR Nagar police on Thursday night. Officers raided the premises of “NS Beauty Saloon and Spa” located in Ameerpet and arrested one sub-organiser and five customers, while rescuing a woman.
Following a tip-off, a raid was conducted at around 8.30 p.m. at a flat in Alrich Purandevi Apartments in SR Nagar. The accused sub-organiser, identified as Nathari Sudha, 30, a resident of Prasanthi Nagar in Balanagar, was arrested at the scene. According to the police, she acted on instructions from the main organisers identified as Lingampally Shiva Nandini alias Anjali and Maddineni Sandeep, who were allegedly running the prostitution network. The duo would arrange sex workers across the city and pay them a daily commission ranging from ₹2,000 to ₹3,000.
Police seized ₹8,500 in cash and nine mobile phones from the premises. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act, 1956 and various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation is underway to trace the main organisers.
