A 20-year-old girl was found murdered behind a private school under the Kuderu police station limits in Anantapur district. The police picked up two youngsters for questioning on the suspicion of their alleged involvement in the murder case.
According to the police, the girl had completed her Intermediate course and was staying with her parents. She had gone missing on July 3 evening and, after searching for her for a day, the parents lodged a complaint with the One-Town police station on June 4.
The police enquired about her friends with her school and college mates, and while the investigation was on, the Kuderu police found the body of the girl on Saturday. The police said the body was in a decomposed state and the girl suffered a serious head injury resulting in her death.
The police said investigation revealed that the girl had gone on a motorcycle with an youngster on Tuesday night and he was taken into custody for questioning. Further, it was found that the girl was in friendship with two other boys, and the police nabbed one of them.
The police said they were yet to ascertain the number of persons involved in the commission of the crime. The missing case had been altered to murder case, and investigation was on.
