Alex Cooper is done staying quiet. In her new Hulu docuseries Call Her Alex, the Call Her Daddy host opens up about the sexual harassment experience, accusing her former college soccer coach of disturbing misconduct.

Cooper, who played soccer for Boston University between 2013 and 2015, detailed her disturbing experience with coach Nancy Feldman during the series, which premiered June 8 at the Tribeca Film Festival. And it’s not just a personal story, it’s a damning look at how power can be abused in places meant to feel safe.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cooper says the harassment began when Feldman started to fixate on her more than any other player. “It was confusing,” Cooper admits. “It wasn’t about my talent on the field. It was all about who I was dating, comments about my body, and wanting to be alone with me all the time.” As Cooper shares more of her story, it becomes clear this wasn’t just awkward favoritism, it was something much darker.

Things escalated during her sophomore year when Cooper says Feldman would touch her inappropriately, including putting a hand on her thigh, and ask invasive questions like whether she had sex the night before. Cooper describes it as a twisted psychological game. “You wanna play? Tell me about your sex life,” Feldman allegedly said while insisting on driving Cooper alone to her night class. That kind of control over her schedule and transportation made it nearly impossible to avoid the coach.

Cooper says she started taking new routes to practice and distancing herself in meetings, anything to avoid being alone with Feldman. But despite the discomfort, she felt trapped. Speaking out meant risking her full-ride scholarship, something she couldn’t afford to lose. “If I didn’t follow this woman’s rules, I was gone,” she said. And when she finally did try to report the inappropriate behavior with written documentation, the university allegedly dismissed her claims without investigation.

Feldman, who retired in 2022, hasn’t responded publicly to the accusations. Neither has Boston University. E! News confirmed they reached out to both Feldman and the school but received no reply. And according to Cooper, the silence from the institution speaks volumes.

During a Q&A after the docuseries premiere, Cooper doubled down on her claims, revealing that the same culture still exists at BU today. “The officials who ignored me are still there,” she stated, adding that she learned harassment and abuse of power still happen on campus. That revelation was the final push she needed to speak up in a big way.

“I knew in that moment, if I don’t speak about this, it’s going to continue happening,” she said. Her mission now goes far beyond BU. Cooper pointed out that what she experienced isn’t rare, and it’s not limited to soccer teams or college campuses. “This is everywhere. This is systemic,” she emphasized.

It’s a bold move for someone in the public eye, and Cooper knows it. But it’s also the kind of truth-telling that could help others feel seen, and maybe push more institutions to take accountability. Her story adds fuel to the ongoing conversation around abuse of power, especially in environments where young people are vulnerable and their futures are on the line.

The Call Her Daddy host has built her brand on openness and raw conversations, but this may be her most important one yet. By sharing her story now, she’s not just taking control of her own narrative, she’s creating space for others to do the same.
