Arby’s is leveling up the fast-food game by rolling out self-service ordering kiosks across all of its Love’s Travel Stops locations in a move that mirrors McDonald’s tech-driven model.

The Oklahoma City-based Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores just confirmed that 112 Arby’s restaurants in 30 states now have touchscreen ordering kiosks installed, aiming to make food ordering faster, easier, and more accurate than ever. These tablet-style kiosks, made by tech company Bite, are part of a sweeping $1 billion investment by Love’s into modernizing its retail and dining experience.

The kiosks aren’t just about looking sleek, they’re bilingual, offering both English and Spanish options, and designed to help staff focus on what really matters: prepping your order quickly so you can hit the road. According to Joe Cotton, Vice President of Foodservice at Love’s, “By streamlining the ordering process, our team members can dedicate more time to food preparation, optimizing the customer experience and driving loyalty.”

That focus on speed and efficiency lines up with the bigger picture at Love’s, which is currently in the middle of a massive revamp campaign. The $1 billion investment, which began over two years ago, aims to upgrade the entire Love’s experience, from the decor and layout of its travel centers to the tech behind the counter. The Arby’s kiosks are one of the key features of this revamp, offering a fast, frictionless option for customers who want to grab a bite without the wait.

The new kiosks also support order-ahead functionality through Love’s mobile app, so if you’re hitting the highway and want your roast beef sandwich ready the moment you walk in, that’s now possible. It’s all about flexibility and speed, which matters when you’re on the go.

But this isn’t where the innovation ends. Love’s has hinted that these kiosks could be just the beginning. The company also operates quick-service chains like Dairy Queen, Carl’s Jr., Naf Naf Grill, Bojangles, and Burger King within its more than 660 travel centers nationwide. While they haven’t confirmed which brands will get kiosks next, they’ve made it clear that more are coming in 2025.

This digital-forward shift comes at a time when fast-food giants across the country are competing to modernize. With McDonald’s long embracing kiosk ordering, Arby’s is stepping into that same space, showing that convenience and efficiency are now at the center of the customer experience.
