A complimentary copy of my book ‘A Journey through the Construction Industry’ was sent to the distinguished members of the Engineers’ Club of Jorhat, Assam. It was received by it ceremonially, as evidenced by the photo given below. This is a club that embraces many highly experienced engineers (both working and retired) as its members.

Er. Dipak Bara, Er. Anup Bhuyan, Er. Khuman Kalita, Er. Bikash Bordoloi, Er. Pradip Bordoloi, Er.
Revapradatta Nath (In hide), Er. Ramen
Bordoloi, Er. Anjan Dey, Er. Pulin Sarmah and
Er. Ranjit Dutta.
This club has been engaged in extending honorary services in the form of technical advice in respect of many technical issues to both public and private organisations. For example, the drainage problem and preparation of GIS- based Master Plan for Jorhat City itself may be cited. The members of the club extended very useful advice to the city’s administrationin finding a suitable solution to the problems. In fact, even I was consulted by the members of the club in offering suitable advice on a number of occasions.
I too derived benefits on having discussion with the members of the club. To be specific, it was, in fact the discussion I had in this club sometime during the last year, that eventually motivated me to write my second book entitled ‘Urban Flooding & Rainwater Harvesting’ which is now awaiting its launch by the publisher any time within a period of next two months.
I extend my best wishes to all the members of the club for keeping up the good works they have been doing. I am also grateful to them for the way my book has been received.
