The Sweet Home Alabama actor, 54, is officially off the market after tying the knot with meteorologist Brianna Ruffalo inside the freakin’ Vatican. Yes, that Vatican. Lucas called the intimate ceremony “one of the greatest days of my life,” and honestly, the photos scream fairytale.
On Friday, July 18, Lucas shared three dreamy black-and-white shots from their big day on Instagram, and fans basically lost it. The couple looked totally in sync as they gazed at each other, kissed, and walked hand-in-hand just outside the holy site in Vatican City, Rome. Ruffalo wore a timeless white lace gown with a delicate veil, looking every bit the angelic bride. Lucas kept it sharp and simple with a classic black suit, because you really don’t mess around when you’re getting married in the heart of the Catholic Church.
The following day, Lucas hopped back on Insta to drop more wedding content. He posted two extra photos from the festivities and threw major gratitude to the entire team who pulled it off. “A huge thank you to deeply talented @caterinaerrani_photography & to @weddings_italy @paolo_nassi @JinaneKafrouny @sena_wedding_world who helped make the dream of wedding in the #vatican come true,” he captioned it, clearly still riding the high. “Many many people to thank for this to come.”
Meanwhile, Ruffalo also celebrated the new Mr. and Mrs. status on her own page, writing, “Incredibly blessed to receive this sacrament together inside the heart of the Catholic Church and holy city.” Lucas popped into the comments like a total softie, replying, “I love you! Easily one of the greatest days of my life. I am so so grateful.”
