Rapper T-Hood’s passing shook Atlanta’s music community and reality TV communities following an announcement by police naming 24-year-old Ky Lasheed Frost, the son of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta cast members Kirk and Rasheeda Frost, as the main suspect.

The 33-year-old “Ready 2 Go” recording artist, Tevin Hood, was fatally shot at his Snellville, Georgia residence on Friday, August 8.

A police report TMZ got from the Gwinnett County Police Department confirms Frost is a suspect in the murder. T-Hood’s mom also went on to tell the publication that “the killer was the son of Rasheeda and Kirk Frost.”

The tragedy has a complicated twist as well, T-Hood was seeing the Frosts’ daughter Kelsie, 30. The couple reportedly had a “domestic dispute” at his house on the same day that he was shot. Although this has spawned internet conspiracy, Kelsie has strongly refuted any role. In an interview with Bossip, she stated, “I don’t even have time to mourn or pay my respects in the proper way because I am fighting back, getting attacked by people who are spreading strange and disgusting rumors.”

Officer’s arrival revealed T-Hood suffering from gunshot injuries. He was taken to the nearby hospital but died from his injuries afterward. One unidentified individual was held in relation to the shooting and interrogated by the police, although no charges have officially been made yet.

Rising to fame with his energetic, bass-thumping tracks, T-Hood had established a strong fan following through songs such as “READY 2 GO,” “Big Booty,” and “Perculator.” His untimely death has shocked friends, fans, and the music world as a whole, particularly in the light of his growing popularity in Atlanta’s rap scene.

The Frost family, usually in the limelight for their visits to VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, hasn’t released an official public statement yet regarding the investigation. A video of the family on the show is currently being shared online as fans make connections between their reality television stardom and this real-life drama.

Police continue to investigate the shooting, with information about what precipitated it still in short supply. Meanwhile, the music world is left to lament a voice which was just starting to make some noise, and reality TV fans tune in to see a prominent family endure a horrific and very public disaster.
