Ilan Bluestone is back with another standout release – this time teaming up with brother Jonny Bluestone, frequent vocal partner EL Waves, and producer Pieter T on ‘Mewo Fie’, a melodic afro house cut that shows a new edge to his production style.

With EL Waves delivering soulful Ghanaian vocals, the track fuses deep groove with Ilan’s signature emotive touch, marking the fourth and final single ahead of his new album Ignite, out August 22 on Anjunabeats.

For over a decade, Ilan has been a pillar of the dance and trance world. His openness – from sharing raw ‘Anthem Test’ Instagram snippets years before it became standard, to delivering euphoric, high-energy live sets – has earned him a loyal global following. Fans have seen him light up stages at Madison Square Garden, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, and EDC, with each album reflecting a chapter of his journey.

2018’s Scars was a heartfelt nod to the influences that shaped him. 2021’s Impulse captured the adrenaline of post-pandemic club life. Now, Ignite completes a trilogy of albums that wear emotion proudly on their sleeves – telling the story of an artist finding his creative fire again after a burnout year in 2023.

“Touring Impulse after the pandemic was amazing,” Ilan says. “But by November 2023, I’d played 70 shows in just over a year. The constant travel took its toll, and I had to come off the road to recharge, explore new sounds, and work with fresh collaborators.” That reset birthed Ignite, a 15-track project that spans 80s synthwave, cinematic ballads, melodic progressive house, and new-age electronica, all anchored by the uplifting trance that fuels his live performances.

The year kicked off with 40, a collab with Jasper Blunk, followed by the album’s title track with long-term friends Maor Levi and Giuseppe De Luca – the trio’s first joint record. He then joined ALPHA 9 and H.E.A.R.T.S for Paradise, a progressive trance gem. Now with ‘Mewo Fie’, Ilan shifts gears again, proving his versatility while keeping the emotional thread that fans connect with.

‘Mewo Fie’ lands just days before Ignite drops, setting the tone for an eclectic, deeply personal album. Available for pre-order on vinyl via the Anjuna Music Store, Ignite is positioned to be one of Ilan’s most dynamic works yet.

Fans can catch him on tour across North America and Europe this summer and fall:

  • August 30 – Pacific Skies, Oahu, HI, USA
  • October 18 – MTelus, Montreal, QC, Canada
  • November 1 – Opera House, Toronto, ON, Canada
  • November 21 – Dreamstate SoCal, Long Beach, CA, USA
  • December 6 – Celebrities, Vancouver, BC, Canada

Whether behind the decks or in the studio, Ilan Bluestone continues to prove why he’s one of the most respected names in the scene. With ‘Mewo Fie’ dropping and Ignite on the horizon, this summer’s soundtrack just got a serious upgrade.
