Mumbai: Gleneagles Hospital Mumbai has launched the Freedom from Fat – Comprehensive Obesity Clinic on the occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day. The stated intention is to address obesity through a multi-disciplinary approach.

It is indicated that the clinic brings together specialists including endocrinologists, hepatologists, gastroenterologists, dietitians, and psychologists to provide medical, nutritional, and emotional care under one roof.

The team includes Dr. Shankar Zanwar (Gastroenterology), Dr. Chetan Kalal (Hepatology), Dr. Sneha Kothari (Endocrinology), Dr. Aarti Ullal (Diabetology), Dr. Prashanth Rao (Gastrointestinal & Minimal Access Surgery), Ms. Kavita Adimoolam (Psychology), and Ms. Zamurrud Patel (Dietetics).

According to the hospital, the clinic is designed as a patient-centric programme
