Sprechen Music is marking its 10th anniversary in style with the release of Ein Null, a special compilation available from 19th September.

A journey through time, the collection captures a decade of creativity, collaboration, and unforgettable music that has shaped the label since its founding in 2015.

The story begins with Utopia Strong by Old Mathers, setting a hypnotic low-tempo atmosphere that pulls listeners into a time machine back to 2015. That year, The Golden Lion in Todmorden opened its doors, soundtracked by A Certain Ratio – Faster But Slower, with its bongos, deep bass, and striking horns. Meanwhile, Cloudwater brewed its first batch of beer and Supernature Disco lit up a party in Manchester. Most importantly, Chris Massey launched Sprechen in his bedroom, with Léna C – Pelago leading the way in bright, marimba-driven style.

What followed was a whirlwind decade of parties, artistry, and community spirit. From Low Pulse – Pillowtalk (Radio Edit) with its soulful vocals to Psychederek – Hopes & Dreams, a euphoric trip of ascending synths, the label has embraced variety over rigid genre lines. Massey himself appears with Supernature on Walk…Now Walk, a powerful slice of acid disco rooted in drag queen lyrical origins.

Sprechen has thrived on collaboration, linking with creatives across Manchester and beyond. Gina Breeze – Acid Strings offers an industrial yet intimate Manchester heartbeat, while Lindstrøm & The Thief Of Time – Escape Into Neon feat. Lady Lady brings clean, uplifting energy with dreamlike vocals. The journey culminates with PBR Streetgang – Chasin Perry, a funky finale that echoes Manchester’s rich musical legacy.

Each track on Ein Null – 10 Years of Sprechen reflects the label’s ethos: connecting distant sounds, celebrating diversity, and pushing creative boundaries. To mark the milestone, Sprechen is hosting free events for fans. On 30th August, Cloudwater Tap Room in Manchester (5–10pm) will feature sets from Chris Massey, Muddy Feet, Elliott Lion (Editors), Flash Atkins B2B Milkes Hollway, Paul Smith, and Toni Key. On 20th September, the celebrations continue at BRUK in Stockport (7pm–1am) with Chris Massey, Léna C., Supernature, Psychederek, and Old Pal, alongside a 10-year vinyl sleeve artwork exhibition.

Sprechen has become more than a label, it’s a vital part of Manchester’s creative community, celebrating a decade of music that has no limits. Ein Null is not just a compilation, but a time capsule of everything that makes the label unique.
