IT’S your last chance to grab up to $5,000 from a major class action settlement – and you only need one document to apply.

Ingo Money, a financial tech company that partners with brands like H&R Block and Green Dot, is shelling out $1.5 million payout after a 2023 data breach exposed highly sensitive customer information. And now, Americans who were affected are racing against the clock to claim their cash.

If you got a notification from Ingo Money saying your info was compromised, you’re eligible. But here’s the kicker: you must file your claim by the end of May 15. That’s tonight.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Back in November 2023, a data breach hit Ingo Money’s systems, exposing personal details like:

  • Full names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Bank account information
  • Driver’s license numbers
  • And more.

The breach triggered a lawsuit claiming the company failed to use “reasonable” data security measures. And while Ingo Money hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing, they’ve agreed to a massive settlement to resolve the claims.

HOW MUCH COULD YOU GET?

It depends on how the breach impacted you.

  • Documented Losses: If you’ve got receipts, bank statements, or fraud reports tied to the breach, you could be in line for up to $5,000.
  • No Docs? No Problem: Even if you didn’t suffer measurable losses, you can still get a pro rata cash payment just for being in the affected group.
  • Bonus Perks: Every eligible person can also get free credit monitoring and $1M in identity theft insurance.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

To get your piece of the $1.5 million pie, you’ll need:

  • The claim form (online at the settlement website)
  • Any proof of your losses (if applicable)
  • Your settlement notice ID, if you received one by mail

And remember, the clock is ticking. You’ve only got until tonight, May 15, to submit your claim.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Aside from paying out cash, Ingo Money has promised to upgrade its cybersecurity and invest $350,000 to avoid future breaches.

If you miss the deadline, you miss out completely. So if Ingo ever slid into your inbox about a data breach, check your mail and hit submit, because free money doesn’t come knocking twice.
