An engineering student of the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchi, allegedly ended his life at the institution’s hostel near here on Sunday. The police gave the name of the student as N. Kuldeep Meena, 21, who was a final year B. Tech Civil Engineering student. He hailed from Rajasthan.
Police sources said Kuldeep Meena had subject arrears and some other issues which prompted him to take the extreme step. The body of the student was sent to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital for autopsy. The Thuvakudi police have registered a case under Section 194 of the BNSS.
