At the peak of Summer, the highest temperatures across Telangana dropped further. From over 45C in April fourth week, it dropped to 40.6C on Monday (May 19, 2025). While the maximum temperature in the State was 40.9C on May 7, the mercury levels shot up to around 42.6C in the past few days.
The temperature might not increase significantly on Tuesday (May 20, 2025) as 11 districts in the State were forecast to receive heavy rain today. A thunderstorm alert was issued across Telangana.
The highest Rainfall of 59.2 mm was recorded in Aswapuram, Bhadradri Kothagudem, according to Telangana Development Planning Society’s weather report issued on Tuesday.
The highest temperature of 40.6C was recorded in Dasturabad of Nirmal, followed by 40.5C in Gollapalle of Jagtial and 40.4C in Asifabad of Kumaram Bheen Asifabad. Wanaparthy, which recorded 35.7C, appeared at the bottom of the district-wise highest temperatures table.
The weather conditions were unlike summers in urban districts too as 36.5C was recorded in Hyderabad, followed by 37.5C in Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri.
