Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has said that welfare programmes cannot be implemented without the creation of wealth, adding that industrialists are the key wealth creation.

Addressing the annual summit of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in New Delhi on Friday, Mr. Naidu highlighted his government’s industrial policies, the investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and the ongoing development efforts.

The Andhra Pradesh government has set a target to transform the State into a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047 and the government is keen on making industrialists partners in the realisation of ‘Swarna Andhra Vision– 2047’, a long-term roadmap to transform the State into a leading hub for economy and innovation.

“We are leveraging the CBN brand to attract investments to Andhra Pradesh. Credibility is not built overnight. I invite you to visit Andhra Pradesh, assess the ground realities, and then invest. We are transparent, committed, and open for scrutiny,” the Chief Minister told the industrialists.

Mr. Naidu said that India’s first Quantum Computing Centre would be set up in Amaravati by 2026, in collaboration with TCS, IBM, and L&T.

He urged the industry giants to harness this opportunity, highlighting that quantum computing, drones, IoT, and sensors are now bringing real-time data closer to businesses, and these domains will dominate the future. “Our motto is not just Ease of Doing Business, but Speed of Doing Business,” Mr. Naidu said.

The Chief Minister said that the A.P. government would roll out a red carpet for investors. “From the moment an application is filed to land allotment and clearances, it is our responsibility to ensure everything moves swiftly. I promise record-time clearances,” Mr. Naidu said.

Demographic dividend

Noting that India is currently at a demographic advantage, he stressed the need for the country to properly leverage the situation to reap rich dividends.

He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, calling it a key strength for the nation.

Technologies such as AI, Quantum Computing, and drones are now playing decisive roles in global development. The widespread use of CCTV cameras, sensors, and the Internet of Things (IoT) signifies the extent to which technology has penetrated our lives. In this evolving landscape, what society now needs the most are visionary industrialists, he said.

Mr. Naidu received a standing ovation for his address at the summit. The audience, mostly comprising top industrialists, applauded the Chief Minister’s clarity on economic growth, technological transformation, and wealth creation.

Impressed by his address and interaction, CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee and CII president Sanjiv Puri, along with other dignitaries, felicitated Mr. Naidu, acknowledging his long-standing commitment to industrial development and innovation-led governance.
