I have gone through the review of my book ‘A Journey through the Construction Industry’ by Er. Anup Kumar Baruah, who happens to be a member of the community of my ex-students of the first generation (1966 to 1978). I have been truly delighted to note that Baruah, being a mechanical engineer took so much interest in going through the book page by page for writing this remarkable review. I have been truly amazed on seeing the depth of his understanding of many a salient aspect of the book. My contention to this effect has been corroborated by the comment of Prof. (Dr) Parimal Bakul Barua, a member of the same community, as mentioned above (a Retired Professor of Mechanical Engineering of Jorhat Engineering College), which goes as —‘The comprehensive review (by Anup Baruah) of the book by Dr. Hem Barua Sir is an appetizing read. Whoever reads the review would certainly want to have the book’.
Er. Baruah himself is a very good writer. I had the fortune of reading a number of articles authored by him and published in different journals and newspapers. Apart from this quality, he has also a publishing unit through which he has initiated publication of quality-books.
With these few words, I extend my thanks and gratitude to Er. Baruah for taking the pains for writing the review of my book. The review, as published in The Sentinel of 15 June, 2025 has been posted below for the kind perusal of the viewers of this blog.
