Applications to the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Pudukottai, Viralimalai, and Keeranur are open. The courses will begin in August.
Students will receive free bicycles, uniforms, textbooks, and bus passes. Women and men will receive a monthly stipend of ₹1,000 under the Puthumai Penn and Naan Puthalvan schemes, respectively. They will be provided with free meals and accommodation. A pass in Class 8, 10, or 12 is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission, read an official press release.
