
Bengaluru: Corporate Hospital chai, Aster DM Healthcare has announced plans of establishing a new 500-bed multi-specialty facility in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru with an investment of ₹580 crore.
This new facility will be Aster’s fifth facility in Bengaluru and will bring its total bed capacity in the city to 2,580 beds.
The new multi-speciality facility is stated to be “operational in the second half of FY 2028-2029.”
As per the hospital, Yeshwanthpur caters to a catchment of nearly 3–4 million people, including several well-established neighborhoods with growing demand for advanced tertiary healthcare services.
Commenting on the announcement, Dr Azad Moopen, Founder and Chairman, Aster DM Healthcare, said, “The Yeshwanthpur hospital marks a significant milestone in Aster DM Healthcare’s India growth strategy, especially in a vibrant and rapidly evolving healthcare market like Bengaluru.”
“Over the next few years, we aim to significantly increase our presence across South India by entering new cities and strengthening our footprint in existing ones,” Dr Moopen noted.
Planned on a 5 lakh sq. ft plot, the new green-filed project is stated to be constructed on a Built-to-Suit (BTS) model. The model is applied to its recently announced facility on Sarjapur road, as well.
Aster has signed an Agreement to Lease (ATL) with Kemwell Pvt. Ltd., part of the Kemfin Family office for the development of this new hospital under a long-term lease of 30 years, with provisions for renewal.
