The second game of the series between the Colorado Rockies and Chicago Cubs takes place on Tuesday night.

With German Marquez set to take the mound, we continue to fade the Colorado Rockies as their pitcher is vulnerable for a severely underwhelming performance.

Especially with the Chicago Cubs offense firing on all cylinders as their lineup currently ranks near the top of the board in Contact Rate and in On Base Percentage.

With fourteen other games taking place on Tuesday night, there are plenty of prop bets to groom through which you can read a detailed breakdown of them below.

Colorado Rockies vs Chicago Cubs (8:05pm, EST)

German Marquez under 3.5 strikeouts: (-110) at BetMGM Sportsbook

Since acquiring Kyle Tucker in the offseason, the Chicago Cubs offense have been one of the more consistent units in the league as their lineup currently ranks near the top of the board in Team Total Hits, Total Runs Scored, RBIs, and in On Base Percentage.

Their ability to extend pitch counts has played a major role in their success as the Cubs offense also ranks fourth overall in Bases on Walks and 19th in Strikeout Rate.

Against German Marquez, the Cubs will have the opportunity to generate Hits at a consistent rate as the Rockies pitcher has struggled with avoiding contact this season.

In his 10 starts, Marquez is averaging a FIP of 4.49, a WHIP of 1.681, and more than one Hit Against per Inning Pitched. With the Cubs excelling at making contact, expect Marquez to be held under the total on his Strikeout prop.

Cade Horton under 1.5 earned run:s (-110) at FanDuel Sportsbook

On the other side of the field, Cade Horton will have the opportunity to get off to a hot start as the Cubs pitcher battles it out against a Rockies offense who ranks near dead last across the board in the same previously mentioned offensive metrics.

Especially with his defense giving him a high level of support with their coverage as the Cubs back end ranks above league average in Fielding Percentage.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs Arizona Diamondbacks (9:40pm, EST)

Corbin Burnes over 5.5 strikeouts: (-130) at BetMGM Sportsbook

After hovering near the top of the oddsboard for the Cy Young award last year, Corbin Burnes has been able to sustain his high level of play this season as the newly acquired Arizona pitcher is currently averaging an ERA of 2.73 and a WHIP of 1.177.

His low Strikeout Rate does bring in a higher amount of variance in his outings, yet he makes up for it by averaging less than one Hit Against per Inning Pitched.

Fortunately for Burnes, the Diamondbacks ace has the opportunity to create Whiffs at a higher rate against Pittsburgh as he faces off against a Pirates offense who ranks 25th overall in Contact Rate.

For some more exposure, escalator bet Burnes Strikeout prop by placing smaller wagers on his alternate totals.

Corbin Carroll over 0.5 hit: (+100) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Corbin Carroll has managed to carry over his momentum into this season as the Diamondbacks batter is currently averaging over one Hit per game, a .260 Batting Average, and a .888 OPS.

Against Mike Burrows, expect Carroll to continue to generate Hits at a high rate as the Pirates pitcher struggles with avoiding contact while averaging a WHIP of 1.200.

New York Yankees vs Los Angeles Angels (9:38pm, EST)

Carlos Rodon under 4.5 hits allowed: (-130) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Carlos Rodon has been lights out this season as the New York Yankees pitcher is averaging less than four Hits Against per game and a FIP of 3.42 in 11 starts. His back end also excels in coverage as the Yankees defense ranks above league average in Defensive Efficiency and in Fielding Percentage.

With Mike Trout still out with an injury, Rodon will have the opportunity to thrive as he battles it out against a Los Angeles Angels offense who fails to make contact at a league average rate. To pair with his Hits Allowed prop, also place a wager on Rodon to record over 17.5 Outs as his success on the mound will help him get to the seventh inning.
