Centre concerned over ship accidents, says Suresh Gopi

Union Minister Suresh Gopi has expressed concern over the ship accidents that took place near the Kerala waters.

Addressing the media here on Tuesday (June 10), Mr. Gopi said the Union government would intervene if security issues were involved in the accidents. The Centre is closely monitoring the developments. The accidents are also a cause of worry for fishers. The State government shall take a call on whether to book a case or settle for compensation following the accidents, he said.

Mr. Gopi said Operation Sindoor won Prime Minister Narendra Modi the appreciation of the world.
