PSG head into Saturday night’s Champions League final bidding to become the ninth team in history, and the first from France, to win the European treble, having won the Ligue 1 title with six games to spare and lifted the Coupe de France last weekend with a 3-0 victory over Reims.
Luis Enrique could become just the second manager, after Pep Guardiola, to win the treble both on multiple occasions and with two different teams should they lift the Champions League trophy on Saturday night, and head into the game off the back of four consecutive victories.
Saturday will be just the second time the Parisians have competed in the Champions League final, their previous appearance coming back in 2020 when they lost 1-0 to a treble-winning Bayern Munich side.
The side from the French capital kicked off their Champions League campaign this season very slowly with only one win from their opening five league phase matches, winning each of their last three to sneak into the knockout phase play-offs with a 15th place finish.
A 10-0 aggregate win over fellow French side Brest saw Enrique’s side through to the last 16, where they achieved their first of three consecutive Premier League scalps, knocking out Liverpool, Aston Villa and then Arsenal to reach Saturday’s final in Munich.

Inter Milan will desperate for victory on Saturday night after missing out in the Serie A title on the final day of the season last weekend despite a 2-0 win over Como, finishing the campaign just a point behind Napoli.
Simone Inzaghi’s side are unbeaten in their last six matches, which includes both legs of their breathtaking 7-6 aggregate victory in their semi final against tournament favourites Barcelona, and have won four of their last five matches ahead of their trip to Germany.
Saturday will be the seventh time Inter Milan have appeared in the Champions League final, and their second appearance at this stage in the last three years, though it’s now 15 years since the club won the trophy for the third and most recent time.
The Italian side conceded only one goal in the entire league phase of the Champions League this season, winning six of their eight matches to earn a fourth place finish and a direct bye into the last 16 of the competition.
Victory over Feyenoord in their first knockout round was followed by notable victories over Bayern Munich and Barcelona who have since gone on to be crowned champions of Germany and Spain respectively.
Saturday’s match will be the first ever competitive meeting between the two sides.
