Brooklyn DJ and producer Chloe Battelle has dropped her latest single, ‘Anesthesia’, on EELF Records, transporting listeners to an atmospheric and cinematic universe while ushering them into her upcoming EP Porcelain.

With its richly stacked production and layered textures, the track draws listeners further into Chloe’s special sonic universe while it reveals her growth as one of electronic music’s new voices.

Having started DJing all the way back in 2020, Chloe didn’t start producing until 2024, but that says a lot for how quickly she has gained traction. Working from New York’s underground scene, she finds inspiration in the city’s dark, dense club culture, where comparisons in energy, texture, and atmosphere are determinative in a lot of what she does. From 90s rave and early techno inspiration to trip hop and alternative music, Chloe is trying to balance nostalgia with something new, creating a style that is both nostalgia-based and forward-looking.

‘Anesthesia’ is a prime example. The song grows from buildups of stuttering pads, soaring synths, and thudding low-end frequencies into one of momentum built that’s both mysterious and moving forward. With calming motifs offsetting driving beats, the song is cinematic in atmosphere, bringing the listener into an hypnotic universe where texture is king. As the song progresses, Chloe starts incorporating textures such as a gothic female melody line and a dirty bassline progression, each new addition incrementing tension and developing depth in the sound. What results is a song that is immersive, texturally layered, and clearly hers.

In her account, Chloe emphasizes intent: she wants to create effect and connection, on a heaving dancefloor or in solitary listenings. In the combination of atmospheric richness and rhythmic strength, ‘Anesthesia’ proves that she is determined to make music that finds a lasting position outside of fashion, eschewing trends as an interference on connection and effect.

On the new Porcelain EP, ‘Anesthesia’ introduces the theme of a project that is going to venture in shifting soundscapes and varied influences. The track showcases Chloe’s talent to blend extremes – light and darkness, release and tension, minimalism and complexity – into a coherent story, affirming her growing reputation as a boldly inventive artist.

With intent and imagination, Chloe Battelle keeps solidifying herself in electronic music with every release. ‘Anesthesia’ is the new chapter in her work, the one that makes her an artist to be respected in 2025 and beyond.

‘Anesthesia’ is now available on EELF Records and to stream everywhere. Fans can continue to check back for further updates of the Porcelain EP and follow Chloe Battelle on all social media for news and releases.
