Circle K is again making pump customers smile with a big back-to-school promotion.
The convenience store retailer, with over 4,000 stores in 22 states, just announced that its highly popular Fuel Day promotion is back on Thursday, August 21.
On that day, customers of Circle K’s Inner Circle rewards program will get a discount of 40 cents per gallon. The discount will be effective from 6 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. local time, but only for a single transaction at participating Circle K fuel stations.
To redeem the offer, customers must enter the phone number associated with their Inner Circle account at the pump or in the store during checkout. If they don’t take that step, the discount will not be given.
This is not the first time Circle K has run the promotion. Over the past year, the retailer has hosted similar 40-cent price cut events around major holidays such as Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, and Labor Day. The strategy has proven popular among drivers looking to offset fluctuating gas prices.

Non-members of Circle K’s loyalty program can easily join and still qualify for the Fuel Day discount. The program also has ongoing benefits. One Saves 3 cents off per gallon on gas daily. Once members have accumulated $500 in total purchases of beverages, food, or gasoline, they are upgraded to Premium status, which increases the daily discount to 5 cents per gallon.
