Hyderabad District Collector Anudeep Durishetty on Saturday (May 17) directed officials to accelerate the expansion work of the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS). During a review meeting held at the hospital he stressed on the importance of the completion of the project by its December 2026 deadline. 

The Collector ordered the deployment of additional manpower and machinery wherever required. He also discussed the need for timely setup of electrical transformers to ensure uninterrupted power supply and issued directions to prevent any bottlenecks in road works linked to the project.

The Collector underscored the importance of maintaining quality standards in construction and adhering strictly to the timeline. The meeting included a detailed presentation by the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department, showcasing block-wise progress. The project, spread across 19.54 acres and covering over 26 lakh square feet, is being built at a cost of ₹1,698 crore. In a release, officials said 35% of the project has been completed.
