After the Rajajinagar traffic police served notices to jurisdictional Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) officials, over an accident where a biker reportedly lost control and fell due to ongoing road work on Dr. Rajkumar Road on June 4, and is in a critical condition, the water board has denied the charges.

BWSSB, in a statement issued on Friday, said that on June 4 the contractors, site engineers and others who were working on the road were there at the spot and reported that there was no such accident on the said date and BWSSB got to know of it only after the police registered the FIR. It further said that on June 4, no work was being carried out.

“The contractor has six months to complete the work, and the deadline is not over yet. We had taken permission from the traffic police and the road was supposed to be closed fully, but it is being closed only during nighttime,” the statement said.
