HI-LO has returned to Drumcode with another high-impact release, dropping his new EP REESE on September 19, with the full release arriving September 26.
Known for delivering annual standouts on Adam Beyer’s powerhouse imprint, the Dutch producer continues to push boundaries while honoring techno traditions.
The title track ‘REESE’ is a direct tribute to Kevin Saunderson’s legendary bassline sound, a nod to one of electronic music’s most influential pioneers. Built on a hypnotic bass riff and silky chord progression, the track is a perfect balance of darkness and light. Already a highlight since Ultra WMC and featured in Adam Beyer’s Essential Mix, ‘REESE’ is poised to dominate peak-time sets worldwide.
Following the title track, Floresta Funk offers a percussive, groove-heavy journey that showcases HI-LO’s versatility as a producer. Together, the two tracks cement his reputation for crafting elite records tailored for both underground floors and main stages.
This year has been a prolific one for HI-LO. Beyond his Drumcode release, he shared a rework of Oliver Heldens’ classic Koala under his alias, further blurring the lines between his projects. He’s also collaborated with heavyweight names like ZHU, KASABLANCA, and Sarah de Warren, expanding his sound palette and proving his adaptability across electronic subgenres.
HI-LO’s consistent innovation and reverence for techno history make ‘REESE’ one of his most anticipated releases to date. Fans can expect the tracks to be staples in upcoming live sets as he continues an intense global tour schedule.
