Prior to his exit, Williams also spent time on loan at Norwich and Ipswich.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had handed the youngster his Premier League debut against Liverpool as a 19-year-old.

After breaking into the side in 2019, Williams penned a new four-year deal the following year.

Following a season-long loan at Carrow Road, he missed five months through injury in the first half of the 2022/23 campaign.
