The second golf major of the year is upon us as the best in the world get ready to tackle the 2025 PGA Championship this week.
Quail Hollow Club will host the tournament this year as Xander Schauffele looks to defend the Wanamaker Trophy.

Schauffele held off Bryson DeChambeau to claim his maiden major trophy last May in a hugely dramatic week at Valhalla.
Now, new Masters and Grand Slam winner Rory McIlroy will be eyeing his sixth major title and has a great record at Quail Hollow.
Scottie Scheffler, who was arrested at Valhalla last year before all charges were dropped, has also found form at the perfect time as he looks to improve his already-stellar CV.

Rory McIlroy 9/2
McIlroy joined golf’s Grand Slam royalty by finally claiming Masters glory at Augusta National last month.
He didn’t make it easy for himself, but the Northern Irishman secured a win for the ages in the first major of the year.
Now, he’ll be looking to kick on and has a great chance of winning another quickfire major at Quail Hollow.
McIlroy has won multiple times in Charlotte during his career and arguably knows the course better than anyone else in the game at the moment.
The 36-year-old is also no stranger to hoisting the Wanamaker aloft, having won the PGA Championship twice before.

Scottie Scheffler 5/1
Scheffler remains stuck on two major wins and is yet to break through in the biggest events outside of the Masters.
He has had four top tens in the five PGA Championships he has been involved in and will want a big week at Quail Hollow to banish the memories of last year.
In extraordinary scenes, Scheffler was arrested and taken to jail before the second round of the PGA Championship at Valhalla.
He was soon released, and all charges were dropped, but images of him in orange prisoner overalls will forever remain.
Scheffler won the Bryson Nelson recently by blitzing the field to finish on 31-under-par, and he is in red-hot form heading to Charlotte.
He’ll be hoping to make headlines only for his golfing ability at the PGA Championship this time around.

Bryson DeChambeau 17/2
DeChambeau has been a major machine over the last few years, claiming his second US Open last summer.
He performed well at the Masters last month before fading on the final day and was also a close runner-up to Schauffele at Valhalla last May.
DeChambeau is the best LIV Golfer by a comfortable margin and will have extra confidence from his win in Korea on the breakaway tour earlier this month.
The 31-year-old seems destined to win more major titles, and he has more than enough power and touch to break Quail Hollow’s famed ‘Green Mile’ finish.

Jon Rahm 20/1
Rahm’s form on LIV Golf has been incredibly consistent.
Since making the move to the rival tour, the Spaniard has never finished outside the top ten in 19 events.
That run has sadly not really translated into big showings in the majors, but the former Masters and US Open champion can never be ruled out.
Rahm loves playing tough American courses and will hope to put together four good rounds to get himself back to the top of the leaderboard on a major Sunday.

Justin Thomas 20/1
JT is finding form at the perfect time as he heads to his favourite event.
In his last four tournaments, Thomas has finished second twice and won at the prestigious RBC Heritage.
He shot a final round 67 at the Truist Championship last weekend to leap into contention and will be very confident returning to Quail Hollow.
The 32-year-old won his first major title at the 2017 PGA Championship, which was held in Charlotte.
Thomas became a two-time PGA Championship winner by claiming glory at Southern Hills in 2022 and will now be eager to make it a hat-trick.

Xander Schauffele 22/1
Tiger Woods and Brooks Koepka are the only players who have won back-to-back PGA Championship titles in the stroke play era.
And Schauffele will now be looking to add his name to that short list this year following his brilliant win at Valhalla.
Schauffele beat DeChambeau with a stunning birdie on the 72nd hole to secure his first major crown.
He then followed it up by securing Open glory at Royal Troon a few weeks later.
Some injury issues have hampered his season so far this year but he did show glimpses of his former best at the Masters, finishing T8.
