If there’s one thing I’ve been consistent about for over a decade, it’s my love for sheet masks. I was hooked back when only Korean brands made them, and the only way to get them was to import directly from Korea. That was 12 years ago. Now, almost every skincare brand makes sheet masks — all promising the same “glass skin” miracle overnight.

While some non-Korean brands have made some impressive formulas, I still have a soft spot for the OGs — the brands that are actually popular in Korea, and have been around since before the global K-beauty boom. While Biodance as a brand was launched right before the global boom, their viral sheetmasks are relatively new.

Their viral Bio Collagen Real Deep Mask and Hydro Cera-nol Real Deep Mask had been sitting in my sheet mask drawer for a year. Not because I didn’t want to use it — but because I’d been saving it for an overnight wear. And since I’m a terrible sleeper, I couldn’t risk sacrificing what little rest I already get. So the masks kept getting pushed under my regular, quick-use sheet masks.

Finally Putting Biodance Mask to the Test

Last weekend, I decided to go for the Biodance Bio Collagen Real Deep Mask. At 35, heading toward 36, I lean more towards “jello skin” than glass skin — plump, bouncy, and hydrated — and collagen is always at the top of my skincare priorities.

The mask itself is nothing like a typical thin sheet mask. It’s a gel mask that comes in multiple pieces — it hugs the skin without slipping, making it easy to move around. Having dinner while wearing it was a piece of cake. However, to my disappointment, it dried within 4hrs. I was really looking for that morning shed. But trying to push it more than 4hrs ended up wrinkling the dried mask on my forehead.

When I took it off, my skin wasn’t drenched in leftover essence like like I was hoping it to be. Instead, it had clearly drunk up every drop. While I would have loved a bit of that glossy, “fresh out of the mask” look, my skin felt soft, bouncy, and calm — and a few tiny bumps on my cheeks had vanished overnight.

Where I Got Mine

I picked up my Biodance masks from a physical K-beauty store in Kolkata — Daebak Beauty, run by a Korean owner. I got them at a steal, and I’ll definitely be going back for more. If you’re not in Kolkata, you can also find them on Nykaa.

Final Thoughts

The Bio Collagen Real Deep Mask is comfortable, hydrating, and gentle — a solid option if you want to treat your skin without risking irritation. It’s not just a one-night glass skin gimmick, but more of a nourishing, plumping treatment you can actually relax in. I will definitely try the Hydro Cera-nol Real Deep Mask next and see if it can last more than 4 hrs. But either way I don’t get more than 4hrs on weeknights so I can try it keeping it overnight on a week night.

Next on my list? The Rejuvenating Caviar PDRN Real Deep Mask that Biodance created in collaboration with skincareyuri. Now I just need to figure out how to get my hands on it.
