Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath said that the State government is committed to development of a stadium in every district and as part of it, they are taking steps to develop a cricket stadium in Kurnool.

Mr. Bharath, along with Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) president and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath, Kurnool MP B. Nagaraju and others visited the ACA cricket ground coming up at Munagalapadu village in Kurnool mandal. Mr. Bharath enquired about the progress of works, including the status of levelling works, fencing and others with the officials concerned. He asked the ACA representatives to find a good architect and prepare a plan for development of the stadium.

Mr. Sivanath asked officials to prepare a plan for the stadium by June 7, commence the development works and complete the stadium construction at the earliest. Later, the Minister and Collector inspected the summer storage tank and asked the municipal officials to ensure that the land near the tank is not encroached. He asked officials to develop an eco park in the land.
