The government has granted permission to the Department of Technical Education to renew the services of 309 contract lecturers and 116 contract workshop staff working in government polytechnics across the state.
The new contract will be in effect for 11 months, from June 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026 for the academic year 2025-26.
Polytechnic Contract Lecturers Association President A. R. Govardhan Naidu, secretary B. Krishna, Vice-President P. Sairaju, Organising Secretary M. Durga Malleswari, Treasurer A. Balakrishna and Women’s Wing Secretary R. Swathi, expressed gratitude to the government in a statement on Tuesday .
