The Commissioner’s Task Force (South Zone) and Bandlaguda police have arrested six persons, including two known history-sheeters, who allegedly conspired to commit murder.

Acting on credible intelligence, officers seized 12 machetes, five mobile phones, and a car from the accused. Two other suspects remain on the run. The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohd Jaber, 43, a real estate dealer and history-sheeter from Pahadi Shareef, Zameer Khan, 30, Syed Sha Abdul Jabbar alias Suleman, 22, a history-sheeter from Bandlaguda, Mohammed Rahmath alias Sonu, 28, Syed Shah Abdul Mannan alias Salman, 31, and Mohd Nasir, 33. Two other accused, identified as Mouseen of Pahadi Shareef and Azher of Rethi Bowli, are currently absconding.

Investigation revealed that the main accused, Jaber, is a long-time offender with a record of involvement in at least 12 serious cases including murder, extortion, criminal conspiracy, and arms offences across the tri-commissionerate area. He was previously associated with another history-sheeter, Mohd Murtuza Ali, from Rajendra Nagar. The two parted ways in 2015 following personal disputes and have since allegedly harboured mutual animosity.

In 2019, Jaber and his associates made an attempt to eliminate Murtuza Ali but were arrested by the Shahbad Police. Despite being detained under the Preventive Detention Act on two occasions by Shahbad and Bahadurpura Police, Jaber continued his criminal pursuits.

According to the police, Jaber had once again planned to eliminate his rival and procured a set of coconut shell knives specifically for this purpose. They was tracked and apprehended before they could execute their plan. The seized weapons and vehicle were recovered.

All six arrested have been handed over to the Bandlaguda police for further investigation. A case has been registered, and efforts are underway to nab the absconding suspects.
