A prolific India was too good for England as it defeated the visitor by 150 runs in the fifth and final T20I at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, marking its second-biggest win in the format.
India’s largest victory by margin of runs came against New Zealand when the Men in Blue beat the Kiwis by 168 runs in 2023.
On Sunday, after being asked to bat, India posted 247 for nine in 20 overs, courtesy of a blistering century by Abhishek Sharma, who scored a 54-ball 135.
Chasing 248, England got off to a good start, but things unravelled quickly with a middle-order collapse, as the visitor was bundled out for just 97 in 10.3 overs.
