Expressing solidarity with the Indian armed forces who gave a befitting response to the terrorists and their backers in Pakistan in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said India would hereafter not sit with folded hands if similar incidents happened again, and that people were indebted to the personnel of Indian Army, Navy and Air Force for safeguarding the nation by putting their lives in danger.

Speaking at the Tiranga Yatra on the arterial M.G. Road here on Friday, Mr. Naidu said the manner in which India built its weaponry was commendable, and the courage shown by the armed forces in destroying the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan was a matter of pride for the 1.4 billion people, who could sleep peacefully due to their (armed forces) dedication in protecting the country from external aggression.

He said it was extremely painful for the tourists in Pahalgam to have their beloved ones shot dead in front of their eyes and India could not tolerate it. He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had rightly called for Operation Sindoor, which displayed the prowess of Indian armed forces, and called upon every citizen to contribute to the fight against terrorism in their own ways, and recalled the spirit which Pingali Venkaiah had designed the National Flag that has always brought the people together.

“India never goes to war against any country. But, if attacked, it will certainly retaliate”, Mr. Naidu said, while asserting that India was not only a military force to reckon with but also poised to become the world’s second or third largest economy by 2047.

Jana Sena Party President and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan said Pakistan had been constantly attempting to disturb peace in India since Partition, and the Pahalgam terror attack was the latest one aimed at bleeding the nation (India). “Pakistan is a failed State that would not allow India to make progress. Pakistan had a hand in the Mumbai terror attack and the string of bomb blasts that rocked the country,” he said, expressing gratitude to the Indian armed forces for protecting the nation round the clock.

BJP State president and Rajahmundry MP Daggubati Purandeswari said the previous governments would remain mute spectators to terrorist attacks and, in killing tourists at Pahalgam, the terrorists had crossed all limits. People and experts alike were awe-struck by the precision and effectiveness of Operation Sindoor, and Pakistan should desist from causing any further bloodbath in India, the consequences of which would be devastating, she warned.
