Chile regained the lead in the 42nd minute with a field goal from its captain, Laura Muller. India responded quickly in the fourth quarter, with Kanika Siwach extending her goalscoring streak by netting the equaliser in the 47th minute.

Neither side scored in regulation, so the match went to a shootout. Chile won 3-1, with goals from Josefina Constanza Gutierrez, Isabel Leonor Messen, and Trinidad Antonia Barrios. Sonam was the only Indian to score in the shootout.
