Isabela Ferrer is not letting legal controversy take away her limelight.
The 24-year-old actress appeared at New York Fashion Week on September 24, making her first public outing after she had filed a legal complaint against It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni.
Ferrer was seen walking the runway for Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet Spring 2026 wearing a sophisticated black corduroy jumpsuit from the label. She paired the outfit with square-toe boots and the matching tote, showing confidence in the midst of chaos.
This is Ferrer’s first public appearance since she filed her court documents against Baldoni, accusing the director and his team of being “inappropriately” aggressive towards her after she was subpoenaed by Blake Lively’s lawyers. Lively, Ferrer’s co-star in It Ends With Us, is suing Baldoni for sexual harassment.
Ferrer’s lawyers, according to court records received in August, said she had gone to Wayfarer Studios, the production company of Baldoni, to pay for her attorney fees according to her agreement. Rather than direct reimbursement, she was supposedly offered that she would have to give up control of her answer to the Lively subpoena before she could be reimbursed.
“Since that time, Baldoni has attempted to manipulate, threaten, dominate and otherwise act inappropriately towards Ms. Ferrer,” her attorneys claimed. Her attorneys also accused Baldoni of filing a motion against her in an effort to “bully” her when she would not accept her team’s conditions.
Her filing also asserted, “Although Ms. Ferrer will earnestly abide by her legal responsibilities under any subpoena, summons or court order, she clearly will not be intimidated or coerced by any party to otherwise engage in the proceedings.
In turn, the legal team for Baldoni filed their own document, terming Ferrer’s allegations an “inappropriate attack” on the actor-director and his attorney. They also proposed stipulating that none of the parties to the case would ever make use of Ferrer’s testimony or communications.
Although Lively has not yet spoken publicly about Ferrer’s accusations, she and Ferrer developed a close rapport on set. Ferrer has previously praised Lively for mentoring her, even styling her for the film’s red-carpet premiere with pieces from her personal wardrobe. “She did style me, this is all her doing,” Ferrer shared in August 2024, noting she wore one of Lively’s Oscar De La Renta gowns and Louboutin shoes. Calling Lively her “mentor” and “an absolute angel,” Ferrer added, “I don’t know where I’d be without her.”
In spite of mounting legal storm over It Ends With Us, Ferrer’s NYFW appearance shows she is committed to keeping her career in the limelight and not letting the controversy overshadow her burgeoning profile.
